The word play in the title of my novel continues to amuse. You’ll change what at the printer? Well, in this case, I’ve changed my approach to printing.
For a small print run of my latest novel, Yule Change: An Opposites Attract Christmas Rom-Com, I’ve chosen to go with Ipskamp.

Ipskamp, located in the Netherlands, is known for their environmental standards. In their words: “We use FSC® certified paper, environmentally friendly inks and produce in-house to minimize CO₂ emissions. Our processes are designed to use minimal water and are free from chemical waste, reducing our environmental impact as much as possible.”
Mollie Forsythe, the female lead character in Yule Change, would be pleased with this decision!
For worldwide distribution, I’m going with Ingram Spark, who doesn’t seem to offer a sustainable paper option. Yet as a print-on-demand title, my novel won’t be printed unless ordered, which means avoiding waste.
And for those of you who order through Amazon, your paperback copy will be printed on groundwood paper, which Amazon touts as their most sustainable choice, though they do not guarantee FSC certified paper. If you order through Amazon, please let me know what you think of this paper!
Why all the details? Because when it comes to the environment, every little step we make to be more sustainable matters.
